RELATED: Genshin Impact: Mistakes Players Make When Using Bennett

Bennett particularly excels in the Spiral Abyss, where he’s commonly considered one of the best characters to bring. Anyone looking to utilize Bennett’s powerful playstyle will likely want to max out his level and talents. Here’s everything needed to do just that.

Leveling Materials

It takes a ton of Mora and EXP to level a character to the maximum of 90, including Bennett. This max level requires over 8 million EXP. Here’s how much Bennett needs between each ascension level:

There are many ways to reach level 90, but any EXP materials used to reach an ascension level can be cut off and wasted. Here’s an efficient combination with little EXP wasted:

Bennett Ascension Items

Bennett’s a Pyro character, so he’ll need some Agnidus Agate to ascend. Additionally, there are some common drops, a boss drop, and a local Mondstadt specialty, as outlined below:

Gemstones - Where to Find Agnidus Agate

The elemental gem used by Pyro characters is Agnidus Agate. This fiery gem can be a reward for completing daily commissions at the Adventurers’ Guild or purchased with sigils at the souvenir shops in Liyue Harbor and Mondstadt. However, the best way to farm Agnidus Agate is by defeating bosses. These bosses can drop it when slain:

Azhdaha La Signora Andrius Pyro Regisvine Pyro Hypostasis Primo Geovishap

Enemy Drop - Where to Find Treasure Hoarder Insignias

Those pesky Treasure Hoarders are found all over the place, but especially in Liyue and Inazuma. When defeated, they’ll drop Insignias, which Bennett uses for ascension.

The higher the level a defeated Treasure Hoarder was, the better their drops can be, as shown here:

Any level: Treasure Hoarder Insignia Level 40+: Silver Raven Insignia Level 60+: Golden Raven Insignia

Boss Drop - How to Get Everflame Seeds

The large mutated Whopperflower known as the Pyro Regisvine is the boss that drops Everflame Seeds — one of Bennett’s ascension items. This giant fiery plant is found in Liyue, specifically in the Cuijue Slope area of Minlin.

Local Specialty - Where to Find Windwheel Asters

These cool spinning flowers are, probably unsurprisingly, found around Mondstadt, the nation ruled over by the Anemo Archon Barbatos.

It’ll take quite a few of these for Bennett to completely ascend, so it’s a good idea to grab them whenever possible. They’re typically found near the Statues of the Seven at Windrise and the Dawn Winery, as well as in pockets around Stormterror’s Lair.

They can also be grown in the Serenitea Pot or purchased from Flora, who runs the flower stand in the city of Mondstadt. She sells them for 1,000 Mora each and stocks five every three days.

Bennett Talent Materials

Bennett, like every other Genshin Impact character, has three talents that can be upgraded. They’ll require talent books, some materials dropped by trounce domain challenges, and more.

Talent Books - Resistance

The Resistance series is the talent book set that Bennett uses for his talents. These books can be obtained in a number of ways, but the main way is by clearing the Forsaken Rift domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Trounce Materials and Crowns of Insight

Crowns of Insight are hard to come by, but they’re necessary for any talent to reach its max level. A few can be obtained by making offerings to the Frostbearing Tree and Sacred Sakura, but the bulk of them are rewards during special events.

The trounce material Bennett uses is Dvalin’s Plume. This is, of course, obtained by defeating Dvalin at his weekly challenge.

Genshin Impact is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices, with a Nintendo Switch version in development.
